StencilCut respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe content generated through or uploaded to our service infringes your copyright, please follow the procedure below.

1. DMCA Takedown Procedure

To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, send a written communication to our Designated Agent containing all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list.
  3. Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it on our service (e.g., URL, job ID, screenshot).
  4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

We will respond to valid notices within 5 business days and will remove or disable access to the infringing content promptly.

2. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to jurisdiction in the federal district court for your address.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant and restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant seeks a court order.

3. Repeat Infringer Policy

StencilCut maintains a strict repeat-infringer policy. Accounts associated with multiple verified copyright violations will be permanently terminated without refund of any remaining credits.

4. Misuse of DMCA Process

Filing a false DMCA claim is a serious matter. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing (or was removed by mistake) may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
